Why I created Vatican Luxury Apartment
After years in Rome's hospitality sector, I kept noticing the same problem: travelers near the Vatican were either paying too much for generic hotel rooms or staying in apartments where the "host" was an agency they never met. Neither experience felt right.
In 2015 I decided to open my own apartment to guests — an 80m² private space I personally oversee. Every check-in is handled by me or someone I know directly. Before your arrival I send practical, current information: which Vatican Museums time slot to book, where to eat without getting overcharged, how to reach the airport efficiently. These aren't template answers — they're what I would tell a friend arriving in Rome.

Why Prati is the right base for visiting Rome
Prati is the neighborhood directly north of the Vatican — one of Rome's most elegant and liveable districts. From our address on Via Costantino Morin you can walk to St. Peter's Square in about 5 minutes, reach the Vatican Museums entrance in about 7 minutes, and access Metro A (Ottaviano station) in 10 minutes.
This means Day 1 in Rome starts at your doorstep: no transport, no logistics. The historic center (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori) is 15–20 minutes away by bus or Metro. The Colosseum is 20 minutes on Metro A+B. You're never far from anywhere.
Prati is also quieter in the evenings than the areas around the Colosseum or Termini — which matters when you want to sleep well before a full day of sightseeing. Local restaurants here are genuinely local: I'll give you a personal list at check-in with what's actually good, not what's closest to the tourist route.
