From Prati you reach St. Peter's Basilica in 7-12 minutes on foot, bypassing the crush on public transport entirely. For papal Masses, which start early, that means leaving at 8:15 instead of 6:30.
Prati isn't just location. It's a real residential neighborhood, with bakeries, markets, pharmacies and restaurants for locals: after a day of basilicas and crowds, coming back to a livable area matters. And when evening vigils finish late, you walk home instead of waiting for a crowded night bus. That's why I send pilgrims here who want a sustainable Jubilee, not just a "close" one.
